To state the obvious, things are very weird and uncertain right now for each and every one of us on this earth. In our tiny, insignificant corner of the world we are attempting to process what it means for us right now and what things could look like going forward in the coming months.
The impact on the independent music community is vast already with canceled tours, festivals and record releases ripping the financial and emotional rug from underneath everyone. At this moment I'd like to point out that we are not in search of pity - this affects everybody, in all walks of life and all types of work. Each with their own current or impending struggle. We are all in this together.
As a label (and on behalf of our artists) we would surely like to bring as much art and noise and hope into people's lives as possible. That's what we do, that's what we've always done and that's what we'll continue to try to do as best we can.
The excellent folks at Bandcamp are kindly waiving their 15% fee today to ensure more money finds it's way to artists and labels. As I'm sure you are aware, if you are consuming music digitally then Bandcamp is easily the best way to support the artists directly. Most of our catalogue is available to download and stream for free or there is an option to pay what you want.
If you are in a precarious financial position then please be our guest and take as much free music as you like. If you can afford it there is an option to pay something. Either one of these is totally cool with us.
In addition we are offering free shipping on all orders at our online shop, starting now and running until midnight on Sunday so feel free to take us up on that offer as well.
